Born in Venezuela, Darwin Quero moved to Aruba in 1992 to pursue his passion for wind related sports.He started off as a Windsurfing instructor with the now defunct Divi Divi operations. Moving on with his gear and recurring customers, he joined the well known Vela team, becoming a permanent fixture ever since. Darwin has thus circa 20 years of experience teaching anybody who wishes to learn wind or kite surfing.
He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese... and every now and then surprises people with his knowledge of Dutch.
When not in the water, Darwin is a passionate father of Jazlyn and enjoys spending time with her and the rest of his family.
